Charl du Preez is a local lad who completed his chef school studies at Warwick’s Chef School in Hermanus. After working his way down the Garden Route, Charl returned to Hermanus and quickly took over as Sous Chef at the Harbour Rock. After demonstrating cooking ability and composure under pressure far beyond his years, Charl was the natural choice to take over the Head Chef position when it became available. He now commands the kitchen brigade with flair and proficiency and turns the freshest ingredients into tasty clean flavours, with a signature style of cooking that ensures flavour combinations to suite every palate.
